Debbie Rinde-Hoffman, MD, from Tampa General Hospital, and Raghad Said, MD, from Hackensack Meridian Health, discuss right ventricular (RV) dysfunction and strategies for managing right heart failure. Dr. Hoffman discusses the etiology and pathophysiology of RV dysfunction as well as strategies for identifying and escalating mechanical circulatory support (MCS) in these patients. Dr. Said presents 5 patient cases and best practices for managing these patients, focussing on Impella RP Flex® support.
