Course Objectives:

• Provide contemporary definitions and diagnostic criteria for cardiogenic shock
• Bring heightened sensitivity to the early warning signs of cardiogenic shock, from physical exam to labs and other objective data
• Review case-based strategies for early and aggressive intervention on cardiogenic shock
• Review hemodynamic parameters for early escalation to MCS and the need for continuous hemodynamic monitoring for effective management of cardiogenic shock
