Thom Dahle, MD, shares a case demonstrating a novel approach to iliac stent entrapment of Impella®. Dr. Dahle had inserted Impella for support in this patient who had bilateral distal aorta common iliac stents. Once the patient recovered, he attempted to remove Impella but was unable to do so. He explains the approach he chose for successful removal of Impella.
