Case Presentations from Fellows: Nihar Jena, MD, Nikoloz Shekiladze, MD and Anamarys Blanco Fernandez, MD
Three cardiology fellows present cases during this East Coast Fellows CAMP Case Presentation. Nihar Jena, MD, a 3rd-year general cardiology fellow at Trinity Health Oakland/Wayne State University, presented a case with severe mitral bioprosthesis failure complicated by cardiogenic shock requiring Impella CP® support and transcatheter mitral valve replacement (TMVR). Nikoloz Shekiladze, MD, a CHIP fellow at Emory University School of Medicine, discussed a 78-year-old male who underwent Protected PCI with Impella CP after presenting with NSTEMI and decompensated HF. Anamarys Blanco Fernandez, MD, a 3rd-year cardiology fellow at the University of Florida Health in Jacksonville, presented the final Protected PCI case. Panelists Katherine Kunkel, MD, Aditya Bharadwaj, MD, Anu Lala, MD, and George Vetrovec, MD, discuss the cases and provide additional insights.
