Contemporary Approach to Treating Acute Myocardial Infarction Complicated by Cardiogenic Shock
Gurpreet Sodhi, MD, of Sutter Medical Center in Sacramento, California presents a case of a 38-year-old Asian male patient with a one-day history of intermittent shortness of breath, chest pressure and dizziness. On the day of presentation, the patient had passed out at home, resulting in a left eye laceration that prompted a 911 call. The patient had a medical history of non ST Elevation Myocardial Infarction, hypertension, diabetes - HA1C 11.2%, hemorrhoids and alcohol use.
